Chart of accounts List

The chart of accounts is the list of the accounts used by the organization. It is used to organize the finances of the entity and to segregate expenditures, revenue, assets and liabilities in order to give interested parties a better understanding of the financial health of the entity.

Accounts are typically defined by an identifier (account number) and a caption or header and are coded by account type.

The system comes with a general chart of accounts, these can not be modified, but you can add all the accounts you want.

Field Description
Account The code must follow a tree structure, the first digit is the class, the first two indicate the group, the first four the account, the first six the subaccount
Account Name A short name for the account
Enabled Don't delete if don't use, better inactive
Kind
Carry balance per third party In cash accounts the balance of previous years is carried over to the company, because the third party is whoever paid and not the owner of the money. Check this box when the money does belong to the third party, for example a petty cash assigned to an employee: in the trial balance per person the balance will then be carried over to each third party
